Appointment of Dr. Thomas Paul to the Executive Board and release of Dr.-Ing. Alexander Schmidt

The Supervisory Board of Alexanderwerk AG has just decided to appoint Dr. Thomas Paul as a member of the Executive Board. The Supervisory Board has initially appointed Dr. Paul until the end of December 31, 2022. For the time being, Dr. Paul will lead Alexanderwerk AG on an interim basis until the Supervisory Board has made a final decision on the appointment of a new member of the Executive Board.

On March 4, 2022, the Supervisory Board decided not to extend the term of office of the other member of the Executive Board, Dr.-Ing. Alexander Schmidt, beyond June 30, 2022. Dr.-Ing. Schmidt will leave the company at the end of June 30, 2022.

Against this background, the Supervisory Board of Alexanderwerk AG has also just decided to irrevocably release Dr.-Ing. Schmidt from his duties as a member of the company's Executive Board with immediate effect until his retirement on 30 June 2022.

The Supervisory Board of Alexanderwerk AG has also recommended to the Executive Board – acting through Dr. Paul – that they ensure that the shareholders’ meeting of Alexanderwerk Verwaltungs GmbH irrevocably release Dr.-Ing. Schmidt from his duties as Managing Director of Alexanderwerk Verwaltungs GmbH with immediate effect and dismisses him from the office of Managing Director of Alexanderwerk Verwaltungs GmbH.

Furthermore, the Supervisory Board has consented to the dismissal of Dr.-Ing. Schmidt from his other positions in the Alexanderwerk Group.
