Annual financial statements 2023 / Dividend proposal

The Management Board of Alexanderwerk AG has prepared the annual financial statements and the consolidated financial statements for the 2023 financial year. The Supervisory Board has just approved them; the annual financial statements for the 2023 financial year are thus adopted. The annual and consolidated financial statements have each been issued with an unqualified audit opinion by the auditor.

For the 2023 financial year, earnings before taxes (EBT) at the level of Alexanderwerk AG amount to EUR 10.03 million and net income after taxes - based on HGB accounting - to EUR 6.69 million. On this basis, Alexanderwerk AG's equity as at 31 December 2023 amounts to approximately EUR 18.23 million in the commercial balance sheet.

At Group level, the key figures according to IFRS for the 2023 financial year are as follows

Group sales totalled EUR 35.58 million (2022: EUR 31.39 million)
Total operating performance (Group) amounted to EUR 44.52 million (2022: EUR 34.51 million)
The operating result (EBIT) for the Group totalled EUR 12.13 million (2022: EUR 6.92 million).
Earnings before taxes (EBT) totalled EUR 12.08 million (2022: EUR 6.83 million).
The consolidated net profit for the year amounts to EUR 8.04 million (2022: EUR 4.57 million).
Earnings per share therefore amount to EUR 2.23 (2022: EUR 2.54).

Earnings per share are calculated on the basis of the weighted average number of shares. We would like to point out that a share split was carried out in the 2023 financial year, which led to a doubling of the number of no-par value shares compared to the previous year. This change affects the basis for calculating earnings per share and should be taken into account when interpreting the key financial figures.

The Executive Board and Supervisory Board have also just decided to propose to the upcoming Annual General Meeting that a dividend of EUR 1.00 per dividend-bearing share (totalling EUR 3,600,000.00) be distributed for the 2023 financial year. A date for the Annual General Meeting will be set and announced shortly.
