Interim CFO Maria Elisabeth Ostermann-Müller will leave Alexanderwerk AG as planned

Remscheid, July 31, 2009 – Alexanderwerk AG announces that Ms. Ostermann-Müller has resigned from her position as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with effect from today. Ms. Ostermann-Müller was appointed to the Executive Board in July 2008; in view of the tasks at hand, the position had already been designed on an interim basis by mutual agreement from the start, when she took office. The Executive Board and Supervisory Board of Alexanderwerk AG would like to thank Ms. Ostermann for her valuable contribution to the company. Her term of office was hallmarked primarily by the focus on developing an efficient accounting and reporting system as well as a significant improvement in investor relations and corporate governance. In addition, Ms. Ostermann successfully dealt with unknown legacy issues when she took office. Following her retirement from the Executive Board, Ms. Ostermann-Müller will continue to serve the company in an advisory capacity.
