Annual financial statements 2020 / Proposed dividend

The Executive Board of Alexanderwerk AG has prepared the annual financial statements and the consolidated financial statements for the 2020 financial year. The Supervisory Board has just approved these statements; the annual financial statements for the 2020 financial year have thus been adopted. The annual and consolidated financial statements have all been issued with an unqualified audit opinion by the auditors.

In the 2020 financial year, earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) in the amount of EUR 0.47 million and a net income of EUR 2.66 million – calculated based on the provisions of the German Commercial Code (HGB) – were reported at the level Alexanderwerk AG. Accordingly, Alexanderwerk AG shows a negative net trading equity as of December 31, 2020 in the amount of approx. EUR 11.09 million.

At the Group level, the following key financial figures have been reported according to IFRS for the 2020 financial year:

The consolidated turnover amounted to EUR 23.8 million (2019: EUR 24.06 million).
The total performance (consolidated) amounted to EUR 25.24 million (2019: EUR 23.28 million).
Consolidated earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) amount to EUR 4.8 million. (2019: EUR 3.92 million).
Earnings before taxes (EBT) amount to EUR 4.65 million (2019: EUR 3.72 million).
The consolidated net income amounts to EUR 3.1 million (2019: EUR 2.47 million).
Accordingly, the gains per share amount to EUR 1.72 (2019: EUR 1.37).

The Executive Board and the Supervisory Board have also just decided to propose to the Annual General Meeting scheduled for July 1, 2021, to distribute a dividend for the 2020 financial year in the amount of EUR 0.70 per dividend-bearing share (a total of EUR 1,260,000.00). Due to the ban on meetings resulting from the COVID 19 pandemic and to protect our shareholders, the company plans to hold the event again as a virtual Annual General Meeting.
