Alexanderwerk AG

Alexanderwerk AG was founded by Alexander von der Nahmer in Remscheid, Germany in 1885. It began life as an iron foundry with mechanical workshops manufacturing small machines and apparatus for a variety of industries, as well as some domestic equipment and appliances.

As the company grew demand for the iron foundry diminished and it was eventually closed. The company has since developed into an internationally renowned and sought-after engineering business concentrating on the development and manufacture of special machines and equipment for the chemical, pharmaceutical and allied industries,as well as food machines.

Approximately 95 people are employed at the Remscheid based corporate headquarters with a further four at the subsidiary of Alexanderwerk Inc. in Horsham, Pennsylvania, USA. The company is represented throughout the world by a network of agencies.
