Rotor fine granulators for the pharmaceutical, chemical and primary industry

TThe RFG 150 DS has been developed by Alexanderwerk as a modular attachment to a universal drive motor of the UM series. The rotary fine granulator is designed for granulation of dry or slightly moist substances and meets all standard requirements for the pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries.

The UM universal drive motor system has an integrated quick release coupling that enables a variety of attachments to be mounted to the UM drive base. Other attachments could be the grater/shredder PGS 165 A.

Depending on the raw material and screen basket, the throughput can be as high as 400 kg/h, with screen baskets with mesh sizes from 0.63 mm to 3.15 mm available to achieve varying granule properties.

The Alexanderwerk RFG is a patented granulator in Diagonal-Design®, which raises the capacity up to 100 %.  This design effectively increases the working area of the screen, but still yields minimal fines generation, leading to a doubling of throughput and in turn to a very gentle process with minimal fines generation.
