Size reduction by use of the Alexanderwerk Rotary Fine Granulator (RFG)

The line of Rotary Fine Granulators manufactured by Alexanderwerk uses a compression milling principle by the use of a horizontally oriented rotor and a screen below.  This principle gives precise control of the top size of the particles and minimal fines.

Production of granules is commonly used in tablet manufacturing.  Many reasons include increased flow ability, control of airborne fines and a precise distribution of active ingredients.

With the rotor fine granulator, ablated rotor runs within a diagonal screen. The rotor supplies the product into the working gap and pushes it through the screen, where it is crushed to the required size.
